As an established distributor of high end CNC Machine Tools, we only buy and sell the best machinery. We have been around for over 45 years, so we know what we are doing. We now need a driven Service Engineer to join our small but passionate team and help us with our next period of growth.
BASIC SALARY: £35,000 - £45,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: As our Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and installation of our high quality CNC machinery that we distribute. All machines are CNC controlled and the majority run with automation and Fanuc control systems. This is a 70% office / 30% field based role.
Often working on your own, this role suits a self-motivated and hard working Field Service Engineer with an aptitude in fault diagnosing and fault rectification within the specified time frame. You will also be responsible for:
- Maintenance and repair of all manufactured machinery in the workshop and nationwide
- Planning service jobs and picking appropriate spares
- Writing detailed and accurate service reports
- Supporting other aspects of the business as required
PERSON SPECIFICATION: As a Service Engineer for us, you will be very physically hands on, as there will be occasions where heavy lifting will be required. You will be the type of person who enjoys being on the shop floor and being involved with the inner workings of our machines.
To be our next Service Engineer, you will have the following:
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent mechanical knowledge and ability
- Electrical / Mechanical Apprentice or time served Engineers are sought, but not critical
- Self-motivating, hard working nature & reliability
- Basic computer literacy
- Any experience or qualification in electrical engineering would be beneficial but not essential
- Working way from home is expected but minimal
