A senior building structures engineer with design and delivery experience is required by this successful, established civil and structural consultancy. Our client is a medium sized firm with a growing workload in the industrial, mission critical, residential and energy sectors. They are a commercially focused practice delivering a high level of technical expertise in growth areas with an emphasis on client care and value for money.
Your Role: You will work alongside an associate structural engineer and help to manage a small team of capable engineers and technicians. There will be end-to-end involvement in the design and delivery process that will engage your technical and management skills. You will provide input at client advisory and conceptual stages, assist with the preparation of fee proposals, and support the development of the structures division. The position will involve extensive contact with architects, developers and design and build contractors. Occasional client and site visits will be required.
Your Profile: A structural engineer with at least ten years design consultancy experience and a 2:1 degree, or above in civil or structural engineering. You should hold chartered status with the IStructE or ICE, and have knowledge of steel and reinforced concrete design, accompanied by the ability to think laterally. The position calls for a good communicator who can collaborate well with clients and colleagues.
