A rapidly scaling PE backed FinTech business is currently seeking a Senior Financial Controller to join on a 6 month interim contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of monthly P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, annual financial statements and regulatory reporting.
- Ownership and review of month end close, cost accounting and overseeing the accounts payable function.
- Working on intercompany balance sheet reconciliations, reviewing month end transactions and ensuring records on all financial transactions.
- Developing balance sheet procedures, monthly reconciliations, and collating financial data for preparation of corporation tax and VAT returns to ensure compliance with tax legislation.
- Oversee the company payroll process and work with the FinOps Team to ensure smooth completion.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, outsourced accounting providers and liaising with regional offices.
About you
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CAANZ/CA qualified - experience from big 4/top 10 is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Previous experience working in FinTech/SaaS/Tech/Financial Services/Banking industry is ESSENTIAL.
- Able to work in a fast paced, start-up environment, build relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical and data driven.
- Experience with SAP and Xero is highly desirable.
