About the role: Our Deals Tax team works closely with our Deals practice to advise on the tax implications of a variety of deals projects including Business Recovery Services, Real Assets & Credit, and Mergers and Acquisitions. We are looking for an individual to join our Real Assets & Credit tax team as a Manager in the Real Estate team. Our team is fuelled by open and curious minds who are passionate about their work. As part of the team, you'll experience unparalleled opportunities to develop your career. You'll work on complex and challenging assignments. Our team advises on a large volume of diverse direct and indirect real estate transactions both in the UK and across the world. You will gain experience working with prestigious and interesting clients as we have a wide client base including sovereign wealth funds, high-profile multinationals, private equity funds, institutions, pension funds, and REITs.
What your days will look like:
- Acting as overall deal architect - making a call on content, tone, and focus of a report; taking responsibility for successful delivery and management of your projects.
- Working with the partners and directors to identify opportunities to bring in additional services and proactively manage project risk profile when leading proposals and kicking off new pieces of work.
- Setting the standard for coaching on projects; take time to get to know the team and their objectives; make upskilling a priority for the team where appropriate.
- Investing in your client relationships and key client stakeholders to get to know your clients' business concerns and priorities.
This role is for you if:
- You have experience of working on Real Estate projects for key clients or a track record of advising on UK corporate tax.
- You have experience of leading and coaching others.
- You have experience in building and leveraging internal and external relationships and networks.
- You have developed communication skills, for example, in negotiating with and influencing others.
- You must possess an accounting or tax qualification (or an international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience. This includes international candidates who qualify through experience in their home country.
