Are you a dynamic Warehouse professional looking to make a significant impact at a distribution centre, working for a well-known, leading 3PL provider?
The Company: Loom Talent Limited have been engaged by a 3PL / FMCG provider in search for an Assistant Warehouse General Manager. This role will oversee a key site in the UK network in Staffordshire area, overseeing a headcount in excess of 200+ colleagues. Working within a multi-user environment, our client supports well known brands along with key UK retailers whilst being committed to maintaining the highest standards of service, safety, and overall operational efficiency.
The Role:
- People-Centric Leadership: Lead and inspire a dedicated team to reach their full potential. Your focus on the well-being and development of your staff will be the cornerstone of success whilst having a continuous improvement mindset.
- Health & Safety: Uphold rigorous health and safety standards, fostering a culture of safety awareness throughout the warehouse and distribution arm of the business.
- Performance Metrics: Continue to evolve the organisational approach to KPI's, whilst ensuring existing and new site standardisation.
- Continuous Improvement: To lead the sites CI & Optimisation activities, ensuring robust CI Methodology & Best Practise is ingrained in the ongoing site culture.
- WMS & ERP Expertise: Utilise your experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Business Systems to drive operational efficiency. Familiarity with WMS & ERP implementations is a definite plus.
- Customer & Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the seamless flow of goods from the warehouse to the end customer.
The Candidate:
- Have a Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background - Essential.
- Have a minimum of 7+ years' experience at a Warehouse Manager / Operations Manager / Senior Operations Manager, Assistant General Manager or General Manager level - Essential.
- Have managed teams beyond 200+ employees through direct managerial reports - Essential.
- A working knowledge of WMS / ERP systems - Essential.
- Exceptional people management and leadership skills - Essential.
- An understanding of Lean Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement Methodology - Essential.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities - Essential.
- Commutable to the Staffordshire area 5 days per week - Essential.
