What will you be doing?
We’re seeking a talented individual to join our team in London. The Regulatory HR Manager is responsible for managing the Regulatory HR team with oversight of the Senior Managers & Certification Regime and other regulatory body management. You will also lead in the development and support of the relevant regulatory policies and procedures. As Regulatory HR Manager, your responsibilities will include among others:
- Management - Day-to-day management of Regulatory HR Team, ensuring team remain competent to carry out their role, confirming and reviewing team and individual goals to ensure team meets their objectives.
- Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SM&CR) - Understand and maintain knowledge of the regulatory requirements related to the SM&CR and translate requirements into practical and effective SM&CR policy and procedures. Lead on oversight and maintenance of Senior Managers Regime including drafting of and updating relevant documentation, completing and submitting relevant applications and notifications to the FCA.
- Policies and Procedures - Ensure team keep accurate and comprehensive records of regulatory activities both centrally and within the business, all regular monitoring and reporting processes are completed accurately and on time, and Regulatory HR Specialists provide senior management with the appropriate information to allow them to manage people risk.
- Training & Development - Ensure training & development needs are appropriately identified, implement practical and effective training solutions, measuring and reporting on the return on investment and manage the provision of appropriate continuing professional development activities via the CPD programme, ensuring that it is accessible to and meets the needs of all team members.
- Regulatory Body Management - Understand and maintain knowledge of Central Bank of Ireland (CBI), Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) Financial Services Individual Requirements and demonstrate a thorough understanding of the UK regulatory framework and specifically the ability to apply the regulation pertaining to: Financial crime/market abuse/data protection Training & Competence Senior Manager/Certified Person Regime.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should:
- Proven SM&CR experience ideally within an HR or Compliance Function.
- Experience of working in an FCA regulated environment with a good understanding of SMCR requirements.
- Ability to develop effective working relationships at all levels across the Group and in particular with senior management.
- Ability to think commercially and apply knowledge pragmatically.
- High degree of accuracy and excellent communicator both verbally and in writing.
- Numerate with good IT skills.
- Relevant financial services or compliance qualification(s) desirable, however not essential.
