Our client is a family run manufacturing company with clients in various industries including pharmaceutical, petrochemical, steel processing and automotive. Through growth and success, they are looking to recruit multiple skilled Pipe Welders.

They aim to deliver a high-quality nationwide service that helps their customers and through continuous improvement, they make positive benefits through careful planning, engineering and installation.

We are looking for skilled pipe welders with experience in TIG and MMA welding processes, capable of working with stainless steel and carbon up to 20" thickness (majority of work is up to 6"). The welder will be responsible for ensuring high-quality results while working to coded standards. This role is a permanent opportunity.

  • Be time served in appropriate industries: petro-chemical, nuclear industries, food, heavy industries or steel processing environment.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the welding trade.
  • Be familiar with quality requirements ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards.
  • Be familiar with working to x-ray standard work & ensuring all required paperwork is completed.
  • Be conversant with welding processes.
  • Have a strong mechanical knowledge background & understand machinery and equipment used in the welding process.
  • Be able to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Be competent in welding stainless steel and/or carbon.

Information for this position:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Mixture of working at the facility and site work around the UK (around 80/20 for more on the site work).
  • 7am to 4.30pm, 1pm finish on Fridays (generally).
  • 31 days holiday.
  • Overtime at time and a half until Saturday midday, following that it is double time.
  • Van and tools provided.
