We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Facade Designer to join our architecture and engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and detailing facade systems for various building types, ensuring they are aesthetically pleasing, structurally sound, and compliant with relevant codes and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop conceptual and detailed facade designs for commercial, residential, and mixed-use buildings.
  • Produce drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation for facade systems using tools like AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, and BIM software.
  • Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and fabricators to ensure integration of facade systems with overall building design.
  • Conduct material research and system selection for cladding, glazing, and other exterior components.
  • Perform thermal, acoustic, and structural performance analysis of facade systems.
  • Review shop drawings, submittals, and provide technical support during construction phases.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, energy performance standards, and sustainability certifications (e.g., LEED, BREEAM).
  • Prepare project documentation including specifications, reports, and facade performance evaluations.
  • Participate in client meetings and design presentations.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Architecture, Facade Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in facade design or facade engineering.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, Grasshopper, and other 3D modeling tools.
  • Strong understanding of materials, fabrication processes, and structural principles related to facades.
  • Knowledge of thermal insulation, waterproofing, air-tightness, and facade sustainability.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
  • Experience with building envelope performance simulation software (e.g., THERM, WUFI, or similar) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and a strong aesthetic sense.

Preferred:

  • Experience working on international high-rise or large-scale projects.
  • Familiarity with parametric design and digital fabrication.
  • Membership or accreditation with relevant industry organizations (e.g., IStructE, CWCT, AIA).
