Benjamin Edwards are recruiting for an experienced Company Accountant to join a reputable family business based near Sleaford. Reporting into the Finance Director, you will be working as part of a close knit team, managing the financial operation whilst playing a vital part in driving their financial success and long-term growth. This exciting opportunity also has potential growth and development opportunities.

The role of the Company Accountant:
- Producing timely and accurate management accounts across multiple cost centres and companies.
- Posting of accruals, prepayments, maintaining the fixed asset register, posting monthly depreciation and Loan/HP Interest.
- Monthly Reconciliation of Directors Loan Accounts.
- Calculation of monthly Tax – Corporation Tax and Deferred Tax.
- Updating and maintaining cashflow forecasts.
- Compiling monthly reports for directors on aged debt, company performance and asset utilisation.
- Any other Ad Hoc reports as required.
- Filing Statutory Accounts and Corporation Tax Returns.
- Providing holiday cover and support for weekly payroll, bank postings and bank reconciliation.
- Maintain and Reconcile Retention Log.
- Compiling information for Auditors at Year End and being primary liaison at Audit.
- Reconciliation and posting of customer receipts against Self Billing Agreements.
- Support Ledger Staff With Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) and VAT Legislation.
- Produce and file a number of personal tax returns.
The ideal candidate for the Company Accountant:
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) Qualified by Experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience in a similar accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software and strong Excel skills.
- High attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
