Job Purpose
To apply the business quality standards ensuring company, customer and legislative requirements are met and maintained by setting standards and monitoring good manufacturing practices.
Duties and responsibilities
- To assist in audit preparation and presentation – BRC, Organic, Biodynamic, Customers.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance Technologist and Technical Manager to ensure that all relevant audits and testing are carried out as per documented systems and schedules.
- To audit on site compliance against Quality Management Systems and Good Manufacturing Practices, raising all non-conformances against relevant standards.
- To ensure correct and full traceability on all products on site is maintained at all times.
- To ensure all product internal testing (organoleptic, shelf life, weight, etc.) is carried out according to the agreed schedule and in line with customer codes of practice.
- To monitor, control and improve the quality of products through taste panel, process controls, and quality assessment on line.
- Continual improvement of product quality, systems and site standards via corrective action system.
- To monitor and coordinate daily traceability paperwork.
- To follow and implement hygiene, health and safety and GMP legislation and procedures at all times with guidance from Technical Manager.
Qualifications
- Experience in the bakery and/or carrying above tasks.
- Basic HACCP Training and minimum Level 2 Food Safety.
- Health and Safety training would be advantageous.
- Additional qualities looked for are effective communication skills, an accurate approach and a thorough attention to detail, good general numeracy and literacy.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Positive, flexible, and a resilient team player with the ability to multitask and work under pressure, an individual who enjoys working in a small team.
- Enjoying challenges, able to drive and deliver results, self-motivated, and able to communicate effectively to ensure standards are adhered to at all times.
