Marine Coordinator required for a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer based in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities:

  • Compile reports of any infringements.
  • Approve all entries and approve/decline all draft certificate entries.
  • Monitor all site activities and update the log with all transfers and vessel movements to date.
  • Monitor all sites for possible infringements and vessel movements.
  • Issue any weather warnings to all site vessels using the radio or telephone.
  • Once a CTV returns to port at shift end or for weather, access the transfer plans and retract his plan.
  • Retract any approved transfer plans should the vessel (CTV) call weather on site and head back to port.
  • Prepare and send infringement/environmental report for each specific site when required, send to authorities.
  • Create and mail updated vessel list as new vessels are added to the sites we operate, also amend and send out should a vessel leave.
  • Chair daily Coordination meetings, compile the MOM and send out.
  • Approve any transfer plans needed for Tomorrow's sailings.
  • Train OCC operators in the Marine coordination profession.
  • Write processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Background in nautical science and logistics.
  • IT systems literate.
  • Knowledge of control of work systems.
  • Control room experience.
  • Extensive experience in marine coordination within the offshore wind.
  • Proficient in VHF communications, including a VHF Radio operator certificate.
  • Marcom B training.
  • HSE qualification is desirable.
  • Experience of incident control/crisis management.
  • Good knowledge of marine legislation and best industry practice.
  • Affinity with technology.
  • Preferably MCA Master 200GT or above or an equivalent certificate of competency Deck.
  • EU working rights.
