About the role
Your contributions will help us create new opportunities and possibilities every day - for us, for the country's infrastructure, and for yourself. Join our Major Projects team as a Supply Chain Manager on the Rolls Royce project and open up new pathways you never dreamt possible!
What you'll be doing
- Develop and manage a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with Balfour Beatty Group Programme requirements and future works pipeline, including SME development.
- Leading a Strategic Supplier Relationship Management Programme for the works to ensure end to end management of the Supply Chain.
- Facilitate and fully implement Programme specific Supplier Performance Management via our e-Procurement system.
- Work closely with Group Category Management to ensure key category strategies are aligned, prioritised and work within the wider Programme requirements.
- Host and coordinate online and in-person forums with our supply chain and Safety, QA, Sustainability and technical teams and specialists to develop the supply chain and ensure compliance.
- Drive workstreams to ensure the supply chain can exceed expected quality standards, pro-actively support the behavioural safety programme and meet the Sustainability plans for the Programme of works.
- Develop supply chain risk management reports and dashboards for stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, Sustainability and Quality teams.
- Conducting market analysis for key commodities to ensure a sustainable supply chain for delivery of projects.
Who we're looking for
- Previous experience working with procurement and supply chain processes within an infrastructure project delivery environment, including collaboration with both materials suppliers and subcontractors.
- Proficient in digital procurement technology and experience in implementing digital systems across multiple disciplines and the supply chain.
- Ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
- Strong background in Supply Chain Development and Management, including Strategic Supplier Management and Supplier Relationship Management experience.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience in delivering supply chain innovations from inception through to implementation.
- Ability to adopt a pragmatic, yet disciplined approach to process compliance.
- MCIPS qualification is advantageous.
- Ability to achieve security clearances including BPSS and SC.
