Caledonia Recruitment are recruiting an Air Export Operator for our Freight Forwarding client based in Manchester. The ideal candidate will be fully conversant in all aspects of Air operations and have a strong customs background, ensuring smooth and efficient transportation of goods from origin to destination. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to offer top class customer satisfaction.
Your key responsibilities as an Air Freight Operator:
- Coordinate and manage the shipment of goods via air freight
- Booking with Origin/Destination
- Track and update delivery statuses in the company's system and provide regular updates to clients
- Job invoicing and costing
- Prepare, track, and manage all documentation related to freight shipments, air waybills, customs declarations and invoices
- Prepare and submit customs clearances
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations
- Maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimise air freight processes and improve service delivery
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years experience with a UK freight forwarder in air freight
