Proactive Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced Buyer for our client based in the Telford area. Ideally, the successful candidate will have a background in engineering and have previous experience working in a technical / manufacturing environment.
You will be responsible for processing material requirements for the business to ensure operations and manufacturing are able to function smoothly and efficiently. You will be using SAP generated reports and ensuring that delivery dates are aligned with fabrications plans and manufacturing deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities (not exhaustive):
- Communicating with intercompany departments daily
- Supplier management / negotiations
- Management / negotiation of pricing agreements
- Delivering on time and available materials when required
- Supporting fabrication and manufacturing and interpreting shop floor processes and plans accordingly
- Attend daily meetings / extend working hours when required
In order to be considered for this role, you must:
- Have SAP operating experience
- Be commercially aware
- Have strong negotiating skills
- Be production focused
- Be able to demonstrate relevant experience in a similar industry
Ideally you will be degree qualified, but this is by no means an essential requirement. £30,000 - £35,000 per annum. To achieve the higher salary bracket, you must be able to demonstrate a high level of experience in a similar industry and role. An immediate start is available for the successful candidate.
