Reporting to Global Head, Learning and Skills Transformation, GroupM University prepares diverse industry talent to contribute to the creative transformation of our industry. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Instructional Designer with leadership capabilities to join our team and create engaging and effective learning experiences, while also contributing to the overall learning strategy.
This role goes beyond traditional design and development. While core responsibilities focus on creating impactful learning experiences, this role also includes leadership elements, contributing to learning strategy, mentoring junior team members, and leading projects and initiatives within GroupM University. This position offers a growth path towards learning leadership.
Key Responsibilities:- Instructional Design & Development: Design and develop engaging and effective learning experiences using a variety of modalities, including e-learning, instructor-led training, blended learning, and experiential learning activities.
- Needs Analysis & Learning Objectives: Conduct thorough needs analyses to identify learning gaps and define clear learning objectives that align with business goals. Contribute to broader learning needs assessments and strategic planning.
- Content Development & Curation: Develop high-quality learning content, including presentations, videos, interactive exercises, and job aids. Curate existing content and adapt it to meet specific learning needs. Explore and recommend new content strategies and technologies.
- Storyboarding & Prototyping: Create storyboards and prototypes to visualize learning experiences and gather feedback from stakeholders. Lead design reviews and provide constructive feedback to other designers.
- Multimedia Development: Utilize multimedia tools and software to create engaging and interactive learning content. Explore and champion new tools and technologies to enhance learning experiences.
- Assessment & Evaluation: Develop assessments and evaluation strategies to measure learning effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Contribute to the development of overall learning measurement strategies.
- Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate effectively with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and other team members to ensure content accuracy and relevance. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication.
- Mentorship & Guidance: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior instructional designers, sharing best practices and providing constructive feedback.
- Project Leadership: Lead specific learning projects and initiatives, managing timelines, resources, and stakeholders.
- Learning Technologies & Innovation: Stay current with emerging learning technologies and explore opportunities to integrate them into learning solutions. Contribute to the exploration and implementation of new learning technologies within GroupM University.
- Instructional Design Experience: 7+ years of experience in instructional design with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful learning programs.
- Strong Understanding of Adult Learning Principles: Deep knowledge of adult learning theories and their practical application in instructional design.
- Proficiency in Instructional Design Methodologies: Experience with various instructional design models, such as ADDIE, SAM, and Agile.
- eLearning Development Expertise: Proficient in using eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and learning management systems (LMS).
- Excellent Communication & Collaboration Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Demonstrated leadership presence and ability to influence others.
- Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Experience leading projects and managing resources.
- Creative Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and solve challenges related to instructional design and learning delivery.
- Leadership Potential: Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to mentor others, lead projects, and contribute to strategic planning.
- Experience with video editing and production.
- Experience with graphic design and multimedia development.
