As a trainee, you’ll gain real-world experience working alongside seasoned HSW professionals, supporting live projects and contributing to safety initiatives across our business. You’ll be mentored by the HSW Director and team, with opportunities to learn on-site, attend audits, and develop your understanding of compliance, best practices, and industry regulations.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Supporting the development and maintenance of HSW policies and systems.
- Assisting with basic HSW advice across project sites and offices.
- Shadowing inspections and audits, learning how to assess and report on safety performance.
- Helping deliver toolbox talks, briefings, and training sessions.
- Contributing to incident investigations and improvement plans.
- Learning how to manage safety documents, KPIs, and compliance tools.
- Engaging in CPD activities, workshops, and industry events to build your knowledge and confidence.
What We’re Looking For:
- Working towards or recently completed a qualification in Health & Safety (e.g. NEBOSH General Certificate).
- A genuine interest in health, safety, and wellbeing in construction.
- Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office and digital tools).
- Great communication and teamwork skills.
- Proactive, eager to learn, and ready to roll your sleeves up.
- Any previous site experience (placement, part-time, or educational) is a bonus.
- Willingness to travel to projects and learn on the job.
