Working Hours - Mon - Fri (7:30 - 5/6pm)

Rate of Pay - £17.50 ph CIS

We're looking for Demolition Operatives/ Labourers to carry out demolition and general labouring duties on construction or deconstruction sites safely, efficiently, and in accordance with all relevant regulations and health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the demolition of structures including buildings, walls, and other construction elements
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and small plant equipment (subject to training and certification)
  • Sort and remove debris, recyclable materials, and hazardous waste from site
  • Carry out soft strip works (removal of non-structural elements such as fittings, ceilings, flooring etc.)
  • Follow instructions from supervisors to ensure work is carried out safely and on schedule
  • Load and unload building materials, equipment, and tools
  • Erect and dismantle temporary structures such as fencing and scaffolding (if trained)
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Assist other trades and site personnel as required
  • Adhere to company policies and site safety procedures at all times

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in construction or demolition roles
  • Good level of physical fitness and stamina
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding and sometimes hazardous environment
  • CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card (preferred)
  • Awareness of Health & Safety practices on site
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take direction
