My Client is seeking a Senior Human Factors Safety Consultant to lead the delivery of complex Human Factors work packages across high-hazard, safety-critical environments focused on Defence projects. You will play a pivotal role in the integration of Human Factors into Safety Cases, supporting engineering programmes, and delivering expert insight across multidisciplinary teams.
Your responsibilities will include leading Human Factors Integration (HFI) activities, substantiating Human-Based Safety Claims, and applying Human Reliability Assessment (HRA) methods such as task analysis, HEART, and THERP. You will also mentor junior consultants, provide technical oversight of deliverables, and support client engagement, proposal writing, and project costing.
You should have experience applying HFI principles within regulated, high-hazard sectors and a strong grasp of UK and international Human Factors standards and guidance. An understanding of engineering terminology and the ability to work effectively within wider safety and design teams is essential.
