Consumer Insights is the fastest growing business unit at Reward and driving this growth is Reward's Intelligence Suite, a range of data & insight products targeted at retailers and retail adjacent businesses, helping them understand and grow the value of their customers. These products are built using Reward's Consumer Insight panel, which covers purchase behaviour for over 10% of the UK population. Our clients use our products to better understand their customers, track competitive opportunities and risks in their market, identify new retail locations and improve marketing campaign efficiency.
To continue on our growth trajectory, we're looking for an experienced and proven Sales Director to help grow our retailer client base. You will be focused on delivering new clients and against stretching revenue targets, managing the end-to-end sales process. Leads will come from our existing retail clients and from your own network and outreach. You'll work with product specialists to align the needs of the client to the right mix of products & services and work with our legal teams to negotiate and finalise commercial and contractual terms. This is a newly created role, working as part of a small, but ambitious team, selling products that have recently launched to market, so the successful candidate will need to be comfortable working alone and bringing new ideas to the table. There is significant scope to build new processes and shape the future of Reward as a global leader in the data & insights space.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver against new business sales targets for Reward's range of intelligence and insight products, owning the end-to-end sales process from lead generation to contracting and negotiation.
- Leverage your own network of contacts to generate leads.
- Provide leadership to members of the Retail Partnerships Team to help them generate insight product leads.
- Coordinate with product & marketing to create high quality sales collateral.
- Understand and articulate the needs of prospective clients then work with product specialists to design the right mix of products & services aligned to those needs.
- Ensure a smooth handover of won clients to the client success teams.
- Use Hubspot to track and report on the sales pipeline & revenue forecasts to Exco as part of Monthly Business Reviews.
- Monitor client and market trends and insights to identify new opportunities and grow profitable revenue streams.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- 8+ years working in sales roles, with a proven track record of delivering against new business targets in data, insight & technology enterprise product sales.
- Have an existing network of leaders and decision makers from the world of retail and marketing technology.
- Able to demonstrate understanding and credibility when talking to highly technical stakeholders about data & insights capabilities.
- An effective and articulate communicator, able to persuasively present concepts clearly and concisely to key stakeholders, adjusting style to audience.
- KPI and performance focused with a strong commercial awareness and experience of managing budgets with a focus on profitability.
- Work with our clients in a consultative way to enhance their experience and develop opportunities for additional services and reward solutions.
- Experience using Hubspot for managing a sales pipeline is preferred.
