The Portfolio Management Group is a centre of excellence, managing the MBNL Portfolio of change projects and Operational delivery, to achieve the Outcomes of our internal Customers and Shareholders.
This role is responsible for providing support to the Programme and Project community, and helping to ensure that high standards of programme and project management are achieved in an efficient way throughout MBNL.
The role will also be expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of the PMG processes, tools and governance, to ensure that high standards of programme and project management are achieved in an efficient way throughout MBNL.
What you will do:
- Continuously monitor and track the schedule against the agreed controls, to ensure the successful delivery of outcomes within the agreed timelines (Deliverables, critical milestones etc).
- Ensure timely provision of accurate information in line with the agreed reporting cycles.
- Facilitate the administration of the governance and change control processes (Project Review Board packs, Investment Forum submissions).
- Organise the Programme/Project SteerCo, key meetings, and workshops (Preparing agendas and packs to provide appropriate level insight focusing on key significant drivers for successful delivery).
- Maintenance of the Schedule, Financial forecasting in IFS, actions register and decisions log, RAID log and Sharepoint space.
- Interpret and respond appropriately to Programme/Project requirements for support and information.
- Proactively seek to identify ways to support the project team to ensure successful delivery.
What we are looking for:
- Experience of producing project plans, dependencies logs, resource usage across a Project.
- Knowledge in risk and issue management.
- Strong understanding of Financial management (forecast, commitments, accruals, actuals, and controls).
- Exceptional Excel skills.
- Good self-management, information presentation and interpersonal communication.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Experience of working in a project environment.
- Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change.
Nice to have:
- Professional Project management accreditations - P3O / Prince 2 / APMP.
- Knowledge of financial process finance planning, forecast and project accounting.
- Telecoms experience.
