As the Business Development Director, you will be contributing to our vision to be recognised as the market leading provider of services to the UK’s property sector. The role will form part of the executive team that steers the Innovus business and will report directly to the Managing Director.
Main Purpose of Job
The successful candidate should possess a combination of strategic thinking, leadership skills, creativity, and a deep understanding of the market and industry. Additionally, effective communication and the ability to align business goals with market trends and opportunities are an important aspect of the role. The Business Development Director is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and developing strategies to increase company revenue and profitability.
Key Accountabilities
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies that align with company objectives. Identify new markets, trends, and opportunities for growth. Collaborate with the executive team to define and achieve long-term goals.
- Client and Partner Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry leaders. Negotiate and secure partnerships, contracts, and agreements to drive growth. Act as the main point of contact for high-value clients.
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs. Use insights to inform business strategies and recommend product/service improvements. Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing business areas. Provide regular reports and updates to the executive team on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
- Brand Development: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows. Enhance the company’s visibility and reputation in the market. Build and develop meaningful connections through networking and building relationships.
Person Specification
- 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Experience at senior level in a commercial organisation with demonstrable ability to interact at director level with key executives and business managers.
- Knowledge and understanding of the property sector at a senior level.
- Experience of developing and managing a business growth strategy that embraces a range of products and services being sold into a diverse market.
- Experience of developing and managing a budget including allocation of resource and commercial justification based on expected results.

- Exceptional stakeholder management and influence skills.
- Proven strong analytical skills in evaluating opportunities with data and using these to best advantage using strong commercial acumen.
