Job Title: Sports Coach Location: Worksop Salary: £90 to £110 per day (Depending on Experience) Start Date: Immediately Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time GSL Education are currently looking to appoint an exceptional Sports Coach to work at client secondary schools in Worksop. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a background in sports coaching, physical education, or youth mentoring who are keen to make a positive impact on students’ physical development, well-being and overall engagement in education. As a Sports Coach, you will play a pivotal role in promoting physical fitness, teamwork and personal development among students. Working within Key Stages 3 and 4, you will lead sports sessions, support PE lessons and engage students in extracurricular activities. This position is well-suited for individuals with coaching experience looking to transition into education or those considering a future career in teaching, sports science, or youth mentoring. Sports Coach Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and structured sports sessions, ensuring all students actively participate and develop their skills. Support PE teachers in planning and delivering PE lessons, adapting sessions to meet individual needs. Foster a positive sporting environment, encouraging teamwork, resilience and respect. Identify and support students who may need additional guidance or motivation to engage in physical activity. Mentor and inspire young people, helping to build their confidence, discipline and leadership abilities. Ensure all sports activities comply with health and safety regulations and best coaching practices. Assist with school sports teams, competitions and extracurricular clubs, promoting participation beyond lessons. Act as a role model for students, demonstrating professionalism, enthusiasm and a commitment to student well-being. Sports Coach Requirements: Holding a Sport and Exercise Science or Physical Education Degree at 2:1 classification or higher. Experience in coaching, mentoring, or teaching young people in a school, club, or community setting. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students. A commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and well-being among young people. Ability to work effectively with PE departments, teachers and support staff. Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
