The role is crucial in enabling the Croydon Council to deliver a long-term sustainable model of Children’s Services. The post holder will be responsible for the CYPE Transformation Programme & the work of the Strategic Delivery Partner in CYPE. The successful candidate will manage and monitor the outcomes of key programme deliverables and realising benefits, supporting the senior management team, to ensure the delivery of the transformation work led on by the Strategic Delivery Partner (SDP), and with sufficient strategic and operational links to the Corporate Transformation Team, and Transformation work across the council and wider partnership. The purpose of this role is to ensure systemic change takes place at all levels and brings about a fresh and innovative approach to the challenges. The appointed Transformation Manager will be responsible for the delivery programmes aligned to the work of the SDP for financial sustainability and that they inform the future model of Children’s Services, the Mayor’s Business Plan and Future Croydon.
About You
- The post holder has demonstrable strategic knowledge in a health or care setting and has up to date knowledge of main national policy drivers for children and families.
- Deep knowledge of programme management concepts, principles and practices gained through extensive experience and development.
- Experience of service remodelling and transformation within a children’s services context.
- Degree level or equivalent qualification plus substantial post qualifying in specialised field.
- Report writing skills, including presentation of data that produce succinct and impactful results that meet programme needs.
- Experience in managing the budget.
- Substantial experience of programme and project management.
- Proven change management and integration experience.
- Proven skills in writing and assessing equality impact assessments.
