We are now looking for a talented Payroll Supervisor to join our team at our Support Office at Wandsworth Road SW London.
Reporting to the Senior Payroll Manager, the role will entail overseeing the daily payroll operations and facilitating the execution of payroll activities, while ensuring the accuracy of data, adherence to compliance standards, and the timely processing of various payroll tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process weekly and four-weekly payrolls in collaboration with the Senior Payroll Manager.
- Maintain accurate, secure, and up-to-date employee documents, records, and personal data, including pension and statutory information.
- Review weekly rotas, communicate with restaurant managers and HR teams to address errors or queries related to hours, absences, and employee records.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, including SSP, SMP, SPP, attachment of earnings, NMW/NLW, and pension documentation.
- Assist with payroll tasks such as processing P45s, administering sickness/maternity/paternity leave documents and completing payroll closing reports for approval.
- Help with year-end payroll activities, distribution of P11Ds, and audits/reconciliations.
- Provide assistance in the administration of the Pension Scheme and other employee benefits.
- Respond to payroll queries confidently and provide support to restaurant teams, escalating issues when necessary.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of payroll procedures and policies. Ensure all processes meet deadlines and compliance requirements.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations.
- Familiarity with Fourth would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of employee benefits, leave policies and associated pay calculations.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, including payroll accounting, payment processing, and deductions.
- Understanding of HR processes related to employee onboarding, terminations, leave, and absences, as they relate to payroll.
- Able to clearly and effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including restaurant managers, HR teams, and employees, to resolve payroll queries.
- Demonstrates the ability to adjust quickly to shifting deadlines or priorities while maintaining high performance.
