The Role Involves
- Patient care: Responsible for ensuring appropriate administrative systems & procedures are embedded to deliver safe, caring effective medical care.
- Workforce: Responsible for developing the skills and knowledge of the workforce; overseeing recruitment and liaising with HR to support the development of all staff members, taking account of their varied status and professional requirements. Maintain the practice National workforce data submissions.

NCGPA is a GP Federation of 37 member practices in Nottingham City, which started in April 2016 and provides services for patients across the city. Our vision is to provide high quality care and health outcomes for all, address deprivation and acknowledge diversity and health inequalities in the city, and develop an effective and sustainable workforce now and into the future.
An expanding area of our activity is direct practice contract provision. All 4 practices are active members of their respective PCNs and are keen to develop teaching, training, and research interests. As part of the NCGPA family we are committed to providing mentorship and support for GPs at all stages of their career. NCGPA has developed strong links across the City Place Based Partnership (PBP) working closely with Community and Secondary City Health Provider colleagues, Public Health, local government, and the voluntary care sector. Addressing the health inequalities present across the city is a key strategic objective of ours.

Experience
- Essential: Experience of managing and motivating a team. Experience of successfully implementing processes. Experience of performance management, including appraisal writing, staff development and disciplinary procedures. Experience and evidence of working with financial responsibilities.
- Desirable: Experience of working in General Practice. Experience of working with EMIS and SystmOne IT systems. Experience and knowledge of Health and Safety, and Employment Law. Experience of CQC compliance.
Qualifications
- Essential: Excellent literacy and numeracy skills. GCSE Grade A to C in English and Maths.
- Desirable: Educated to Degree level or Diploma of Higher Education. Business management qualification. Evidence of financial knowledge/understanding.
