Our client is a reputable and well-respected organisation who is looking to increase by recruiting an assembly production engineer to support their workforce. You will be supported with full on the job training and guidance which will give you the knowledge to progress and develop within the team.
Main duties will include:
- To assist the Department Head in maintaining product output in the Assembly Area Department.
- To investigate and where possible offer suggestions for process improvements and/or cost reductions.
- To assist in running Assembly Machines when necessary to maintain production output.
- To assist in the training of new staff and progression training of existing staff.
- To diagnose faults and repair Assembly Machines and associated Equipment.
- To complete and update tasks using a Maintenance based software.
- To provide assistance as and when required to any and all members of the Assembly Area team.
- To provide assistance to Engineers from outside of the Assembly Area Department as and when required.
- To assist with any other requirements associated with the Assembly Area Department.
- To provide weekend Engineering cover, once capable, on a rotational basis with the other Engineers in the team.
Candidate Attributes:
- Experience in using a range of tool room / workshop based machinery.
- Have at least 5-10 years experience of working in a production assembly environment, preferably on a 24/7 or at the very least, a shift type basis.
- A very good mechanical aptitude and be able to diagnose faults associated with Machine Wear and Product Quality.
- Required to be disciplined, self-motivated and be able to work as both an individual and as part of a team.
- Will be familiar with ISO 9001:2015 and have strong communication skills, being able to discuss problems and issues with all levels of personnel.
