Applications Engineer / Proposals Engineer / Technical Sales Support to join a leading HVAC manufacturer. This role will be required to take projects from conception through to completion, providing quotation, estimates, calculation methods, and client liaison to meet bespoke requirements on a range of HVAC ventilation products such as Air Handling Units (AHUs), fans, heat recovery systems, grilles, diffusers, and ducting.

The ideal candidate will have a background in undertaking estimates, quotations, and a strong technical understanding of Air Handling Units (AHUs) and/or ventilation products. This is an office-based role in Birmingham.

Package:

  • £35,000-£45,000
  • Enhanced Pension contribution
  • 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays

Role:

  • Prepare detailed quotation and estimates for Air Handling Units and various ventilation products such as fans, heat recovery systems, grilles, diffusers, and ducting.
  • Provide technical guidance to clients ensuring HVAC ventilation products are suitable from performance and design perspective.
  • Direct engagement with customer base of M&E Contractors/M&E Consultants to understand requirements and tailor solutions.
  • Work closely with Projects Team and External Sales professionals.
  • Must be able to commute to the office in Birmingham.

Requirements:

  • Experience as an Internal Estimator, Technical Estimator, Technical Sales Support, Sales Support Engineer, Proposals Engineer, Application Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, HVAC and/or AHU Estimator within the HVAC industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Air Handling Units (AHUs) and/or HVAC ventilation products such as fans, heat recovery systems, grilles, diffusers, and ducting.
  • Technical Mechanical Engineering/Building Services Engineering degree, HND/HNC, or higher level qualification would be advantageous.
  • Experience of direct communications with clients including M&E Contractors and M&E Consultants.
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings/specifications.
  • Must be able to commute to the office in Birmingham.
