About the Company
My client is an ambitious and growing organisation within the logistics sector, with a strong focus on optimising network performance and security across global operations. They are looking to expand their cybersecurity team and are in need of a Network Security Engineer who is driven, detail-oriented, and ready to take on complex security challenges in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, maintain, and optimize network security platforms (firewalls, routers, switches, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and cloud technologies).
- Manage and monitor network security tools to ensure peak performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to enhance and optimize security systems.
- Implement and manage secure remote access solutions, ensuring reliable and safe connectivity for remote teams.
- Lead the management and maintenance of PKI, certificates, and VPNs.
- Develop technical specifications and rollout plans for network security enhancements.
- Regularly monitor network traffic, troubleshoot security incidents, and mitigate risks.
- Provide BAU (Business As Usual) support, ensuring ongoing system reliability and performance.
Skills/Experience:
- Proven experience in network security, including expertise with Cisco security tools (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
- Strong understanding of cloud security, routing, switching, and network optimization.
- Hands-on experience with network traffic monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance enhancement.
- Experience in managing network security for hybrid environments (cloud and on-premise).
- Strong knowledge of secure remote access technologies (VPN, MFA, encryption).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to adapt to a fast-evolving environment.
- Effective communicator, capable of collaborating with IT teams and stakeholders to drive security improvements.
