This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join this arms-length body of the Welsh Government as their Head of Marketing & Communications. This leadership role offers the autonomy to develop and execute dynamic marketing and communications strategies, positioning the organisation as a key influencer in policy, investment and industry engagement. You will also lead a talented team, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and fostering a high-performance culture.
In this role you will:
- Elevate the brand - positioning the organisation as a leader in its field, influencing both national and international conversations.
- Lead Strategic Marketing & Communications - Developing and executing impactful campaigns that engage stakeholders, generate leads, and drive innovation adoption.
- Drive Stakeholder Engagement - Building meaningful relationships with industry leaders, government bodies, academia and investors to maximise impact.
- Shape Media & Public Affairs Strategies - Leading media engagement efforts, enhancing the organisation's digital presence, and representing the organisation as a key spokesperson.
- Lead a High-Performing Team - You will inspire, mentor, and manage a dynamic marketing and communications team to deliver outstanding results.
You will have an impressive track record with proven experience in developing and executing high-impact marketing & communications strategies within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment. You will possess strong leadership skills with the ability to influence at a senior level and drive cross-functional collaboration. You will be an expert in stakeholder engagement, media relations, and reputation management. You will have a data-driven mindset, using analytics to inform decision-making and measure impact. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential for this position.
This is a full-time (37.5 hours) permanent position, with an annual salary of £70,545. Your package will include, but is not limited to, a hybrid working model, a generous annual leave allowance of 30 days + bank holidays, as well as flexible working options.
