Our client is currently looking for a Machine Operator with laser cutting experience to join their team in a busy and fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and experience operating laser machines, looking to grow within a supportive and established business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor laser cutting machines to produce components to specification
- Set up machines based on job requirements, including loading materials and selecting programs
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and conformance to drawings
- Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of machines
- Record production data and report any defects or issues
- Follow all health & safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production targets
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating laser cutting machines (e.g., Trumpf, Bystronic, Amada, etc.)
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Good attention to detail and quality control
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
- Basic mechanical knowledge and machine troubleshooting skills
- Reliable, punctual, and a good team player
- Flexible and willing to learn additional machinery if needed
