Are you an experienced IT professional with a passion for delivering excellent technical support and maintaining robust IT systems? We’re looking for a Senior IT Support Technician to join our clients team and play a key role in managing and optimising their IT infrastructure.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for supporting and maintaining hardware, desktops, servers, and network systems both on-premise and in the cloud. This is an all-encompassing IT role, providing hands-on technical support, managing the IT service desk, and ensuring secure and efficient IT services across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot IT hardware and software.
- Manage and monitor servers, networks, and cloud solutions for performance and security.
- Resolve support tickets and provide advanced troubleshooting for IT service desk queries.
- Oversee user accounts, permissions, and on-site security systems.
- Assist with penetration testing and resolve security vulnerabilities.
- Document processes in Confluence and deliver IT training sessions for colleagues.
- Collaborate on system upgrades and IT projects, ensuring smooth delivery.
Essential Skills
- Experience with Windows and (ideally) macOS operating systems.
- Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and VPN troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Active Directory/Entra for account management.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- Strong hardware troubleshooting skills (computers, printers, mobile devices, etc.).
