Job Summary:
As a Senior Biodiversity Net Gain Advisor you will be leading and managing large-scale business change projects within our organisation, ensuring their successful delivery to time, cost and quality. You will play a key role in supporting the implementation of our organisational transformation programmes by providing expert guidance on all aspects of project management methodology, tools and techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing multiple complex change initiatives simultaneously, working collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure they are delivered effectively and efficiently.
- Developing detailed project plans, schedules and budgets for each initiative, monitoring progress against these and taking corrective action as required to ensure milestones are met.
- Identifying and mitigating risks associated with each project, developing contingency plans where necessary to minimise impacts.
- Managing and motivating teams throughout the life cycle of each initiative, utilising effective communication, interpersonal and influencing skills to build commitment and drive through positive outcomes.
- Ensuring appropriate governance structures are established and maintained for each project, facilitating regular steering group meetings and obtaining buy-in from senior leaders to support decision making processes.
- Providing specialist advice and guidance to other project managers within the team and across the wider organisation, sharing best practice and promoting high standards of project management.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Experience in managing complex business change projects.
- Proven ability to deliver multiple initiatives to a consistently high standard.
- Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and techniques.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- A track record of successfully delivering business change projects within a corporate environment.
Desirable:
- Experience in the water industry or similar regulated utility sector.
- Project management qualification (e.g. APM, PRINCE2).
- Knowledge of IT systems and applications used in project management.
- Experience of using Microsoft Project and Visio.
This role will be full time Monday to Friday with a hybrid approach to working between home and office.
