Technical Sales Engineer

JOB – Sales Engineer \\n\\nLOCATION – Remote / Field-Based in the UK\\n\\nTERM- Permanent\\n\\nSALARY – £45,000-£60,000, dependent on experience \\n\\nMy client is a specialist manufacturer within the Oil & Gas and Energy industries. They are looking for a Sales Engineer to join their team based in Southampton on a permanent basis.\\n\\nThe role will involve working remotely / travelling around the UK to visit customers and go to trade shows.\\n\\nThe Sales Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:\\n\\nAn educational or hands-on background in Engineering\\nExperienced in/knowledge of Oil & Gas or similar Energy/Process industries would be ideal\\nTechnical Mechanical Engineering knowledge to understand quotations and queries\\nConfident knowledge of maintenance, installation and repair\\nPrevious experience supporting customers in a similar technical / sales role would be beneficial \\nExcellent customer-service skills and a passion for sales \\nConfident and driven for career progression\\nExcellent communication skills are required\\nBe self-motivated and driven\\nBe keen to develop as part of an organisation long term\\nA full UK driving licence and your own vehicle \\n\\n The Sales Engineer role will involve:\\n\\nIdentifying, maintaining and developing sales opportunities for the company\\nProviding technical support and supporting technical delivery of the company’s products and services\\nAccount Management of existing clients\\nHandling queries and providing quotations to progress further sales opportunities\\nVisiting customer sites and attending exhibitions when required\\nUpselling and developing relationships\\nWorking with the Projects Team to convert client requirements into details designs and technical instructions\\nProcessing purchase orders onto the MRP system\\nExcellent opportunities for training and development, with room to progress within the company \\n\\n If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible
