My client is the UK’s leading manufacturer and distributor of wooden garden products. A truly innovative business established over 50 years ago, they have a great infrastructure such as experienced support staff and systems.
Due to growth, the business is now able to add a Regional Sales Manager for the South East of England. As Area Sales Manager, you will be expected to manage an area turnover of over £2m. The customer base ranges from Builders Merchants such as Travis Perkins and Jewson to independent Garden Centres and retailers. This is an excellent opportunity to work responsibly within a successful team and become an integral and valuable member for a long-term career.
Responsibilities:
- New accounts: Identify and develop new accounts on patch.
- Manage existing customer base accounts.
- Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships on all levels helping them find the most suitable solutions for their target groups.
The successful candidate will already be a Regional Sales Manager/Business Development Manager ideally within the Garden/DIY industry, although open on product experience.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A passion for Garden products.
- Effective analysis, time management and planning skills are essential.
- Sales experience in a B2B account management role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A developed ability to think and act commercially.
- A thirst to learn and challenge yourself coupled with a strong team ethic.
- Experience in selling into Builders Merchants and/or Garden Centres, in particular Travis Perkins.
