We are a well-established contractor specialising in the external envelope sector, providing high-performance solutions in cladding, curtain walling, glazing, and re-cladding works across the UK. With a growing portfolio of prestigious projects, we are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team based in Manchester.
The Role:
As a Full Envelope Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of façade, cladding, and re-cladding projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality. You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure all aspects of the project’s financial performance are managed effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the commercial aspects of multiple full envelope and re-cladding projects
- Prepare, submit, and negotiate interim valuations, final accounts, and variations
- Monitor project costs, track progress, and forecast financial performance
- Procure and manage subcontractor packages and ensure timely payments
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and project managers to resolve any commercial issues
- Provide accurate reporting and assist with cost control measures
- Ensure compliance with contracts, industry standards, and regulations
- Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and cost estimates for new projects
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the external envelope sector, ideally cladding or façade systems
- Strong understanding of JCT and/or NEC contracts
- Experience managing full envelope and re-cladding projects from inception to completion
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with excellent cost control skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commercial management software
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
- Based in or willing to travel to Manchester and surrounding areas
