Senior Structural Engineer – Birmingham
£45,000 – £55,000 + Benefits

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to join a growing team in Birmingham, working on high-profile projects across the UK. From designing large, complex developments (£5M – £200M) to assessing and refurbishing existing structures, this role offers a diverse workload in commercial, residential, and industrial sectors. You\’ll play a key role in delivering innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective structural solutions while developing your leadership and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality, budget, and deadlines are met.
2. Carry out structural design and analysis in line with Eurocodes.
3. Oversee design drawings and technical deliverables.
4. Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
5. Conduct site visits, inspections, and reporting.

Requirements:

1. MEng, BSc, or MSc in Structural or Civil Engineering.
2. Chartered (or near Chartered) with IStructE or ICE.
3. Experience in designing concrete, steel, masonry, and timber structures.
4. Proficiency in design software (SCIA Engineer, TEKLA Structural Designer, TEDDS, etc.).
5. Strong technical report writing and communication skills.
6. UK driving licence.
