Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of global raw material suppliers, including order book control, capacity planning, and supplier performance.
  • Lead RFQ (Request for Quotation) processes to ensure competitive bids and supply security.
  • Support supplier consolidation and improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve delivery (OTIF) and quality (RFT).
  • Handle purchasing tasks via MRP: creating POs, rescheduling, cancellations, and spot buys.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs for projects and processes.
  • Support and back up the Subcontract Buyer (Subcon), including raising and expediting orders.
  • Negotiate pricing and manage long-term agreements with suppliers.
  • Lead export/import processes and act as the company’s go-to expert on this.
  • Drive continuous cost improvements and stock reduction strategies.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Previous supply chain experience
  • CIPS qualified
  • Strong written and spoken English
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong planning, organisation, and attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Able to work independently and in a team
  • Professional and commercially minded

  • Experience in engineering or highly regulated manufacturing industries
