Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of global raw material suppliers, including order book control, capacity planning, and supplier performance.
- Lead RFQ (Request for Quotation) processes to ensure competitive bids and supply security.
- Support supplier consolidation and improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve delivery (OTIF) and quality (RFT).
- Handle purchasing tasks via MRP: creating POs, rescheduling, cancellations, and spot buys.
- Develop and maintain KPIs for projects and processes.
- Support and back up the Subcontract Buyer (Subcon), including raising and expediting orders.
- Negotiate pricing and manage long-term agreements with suppliers.
- Lead export/import processes and act as the company’s go-to expert on this.
- Drive continuous cost improvements and stock reduction strategies.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Previous supply chain experience
- CIPS qualified
- Strong written and spoken English
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong planning, organisation, and attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Professional and commercially minded
