An established CNC machine tool distributor is growing its UK service team and is looking to appoint an experienced Field Service Engineer to support its customer base across Yorkshire.
This is a field-based position, ideal for someone with strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills, who is comfortable working independently and providing a high standard of service on a range of CNC machines.
The Role:
- Carrying out planned maintenance and servicing of CNC machine tools in line with company standards
- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs on site at customer premises
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships across a range of manufacturing sectors
- Providing technical support to customers and internal staff as required
- Keeping up to date with machine developments and attending training when new control systems are introduced
What We're Looking For:
- Based in Yorkshire, with the flexibility to travel throughout the region
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a maintenance or service role (post-apprenticeship)
- Engineering HNC and Modern Apprenticeship (or equivalent experience)
- Mechanical and electrical fitting skills
- Familiarity with one or more of the following CNC control systems: Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Competent using PC, mobile and email systems
The Package:
- Salary between £40,000 – £50,000 depending on experience
