THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Design Engineer to join our ever-growing team in our Design Office. This role will involve reporting to the Chief Designer and will involve working on some of our primary whole-car design projects. The role responsibilities include:
- Delivering innovative engineering solutions.
- Design advanced models and drawings of a variety of car components and chassis design.
- Verification of designs through own calculations, analysis and CAE.
- Ensuring the success of the design from inception through to production.
- Liaise with the Chief Designer and Engineers to improve and confirm the design to achieve maximum car performance.
- Use theoretical knowledge of material science and mechanical engineering to resolve difficult problems.
- Assist the Chief Designer in supporting and mentoring Junior Designers.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a self-motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. You should be educated to BEng or MEng level in Motorsport, Automotive or Mechanical Engineering, and have good knowledge of 3D CAD, preferably CATIA V5. You should understand the latest manufacturing techniques and materials, and you should have meticulous attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving. You should have excellent interpersonal, relationship and team building skills. You should have at least 3+ years of experience in a similar environment working in a competitive industry. You should pride yourself on your attention to detail and be capable of delivering a high standard of performance and quality whilst working to strict deadlines in a time-sensitive environment. You should share our determination to deliver a winning performance for the very best results.
