We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Geo-Environmental Associate to join our team, where you will help manage and deliver environmental solutions for land development and remediation projects.
Your duties will include:
- Managing and overseeing site investigations, contaminated land assessments, and environmental risk assessments.
- Designing and implementing remediation strategies to mitigate contamination risks for development sites.
- Providing technical leadership to the team on geo-environmental matters, including soil and groundwater analysis, pollutant linkage assessments, and regulatory compliance.
- Leading project teams and coordinating the delivery of work within time and budget constraints.
- Collaborating with clients, regulators, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Writing and reviewing technical reports, including Phase I and Phase II environmental assessments, remediation method statements, and validation reports.
- Supporting business development activities, contributing to tender submissions, and identifying new business opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in geotechnical or geo-environmental consultancy, particularly in land contamination and remediation.
- Proven track record in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- In-depth knowledge of contaminated land regulations and experience in preparing remediation strategies.
- Strong communication skills, with experience in liaising with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Chartered or working towards chartership (e.g., CEnv, CGeol, CSci) is desirable.
