Senior Fund Accountant | London, UK

Our client is a well regarded city based hedge fund. A newly created position has arisen for a Senior Fund Accountant to join their team.

The role is tasked with the delivery of key valuation and financial reporting oversight across a diverse product range.

Candidates should be self-motivated, team-oriented individuals with high attention to detail who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial reporting and audit management
2. NAV production and reconciliation
3. Product and investment valuation
4. Share class hedging and cash management
5. Fee calculation and reporting
6. Budgeting and expense management
7. Production and reporting of management information
8. Assisting with product and investor queries
9. Counterparty management – Administrators, Depositary, Auditors
10. Oversight of fund tax advisors

What we’re looking for:

1. A qualified chartered accountant
2. 5+ years of experience in fund audit or relevant investment management accounting
3. Knowledge of fund accounting, accounting standards and fair value valuation principles, fee calculations and tax reporting
4. High attention to detail and accuracy
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
6. Basic coding skills (SQL, Python, etc.) would be advantageous
7. Ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
8. Strong relationship-building skills with colleagues, teams and service providers
9. Flexible, collaborative and proactive approach
10. Capability to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines
11. Ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment
