We are seeking a future team member for the role of Lead API Product Manager - Vice President to join our Treasury Services Product Management team. This role is located in London and is Hybrid. As a Lead API Product Manager, you will play a critical role in defining, developing, and managing the lifecycle of our API products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, sales, and customer support, to ensure our APIs meet market demands and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience in API product management, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and compelling product strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire API product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization ensuring services are scalable, secure, and easy to use.
  • Collaborate closely with the API engineering team on key elements of API design and principles such as intuitive naming, consistent patterns, versioning, etc.
  • Prioritize API features and enhancements based on customer feedback, usage data, and business impact.
  • Work closely with engineering and product teams to define business/technical requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Engage with customers, directly or indirectly, to understand their needs, pain points, and how they use APIs.
  • Utilize metrics to measure the success of API products and drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct A/B testing, user research, and data analysis to validate product hypotheses and iterate on features.
  • Ensure comprehensive and clear documentation for internal teams and external API users.
  • Communicate product changes, updates, and best practices to customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Experience in product management, with a recent focus on APIs or developer-focused products.
  • Experience in banking/finance, industry standards, and payments domain.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing API products.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform product decisions.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, SDKs, modern architecture patterns, and related technologies.
  • Experience working with developer communities and third-party developers.
  • Knowledge of API best practices and compliance standards.
