What matters to us:
- 2 Year PQE accountant with a recognised professional body (eg ICAEW, ACCA or CIMA)
- Experience in a project-based finance team within the construction, infrastructure or similar industry
Your contribution to our company:
- Senior Project Accountant is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the integrity of ledgers and control environment for the project, whilst building close working relationships with the commercial and delivery teams.
- Production of monthly and ad-hoc reporting requirements including rolling forecasts, cash-flows, balance sheet reconciliations and other reporting requirements.
- Understand the commercial contracts in use in order to challenge the commercial position ensuring reporting represents a fair and accurate reflection on contract performance.
- Work closely with the Senior Management to improve project reporting and reduce commercial risk.
- Ensure accurate and timely billing of costs to the client including subsequent management and collection of aged debts.
- Ensure cash forecasts are robustly prepared and accurately reported.
- Work with commercial teams to minimise the WIP position and achieve cash collection targets.
- Provide governance around the project delegated authority process to ensure compliance at all times and provision of controls to eliminate non-conforming authorisations, purchases and retrospective purchase orders.
- Oversee production of staff utilisation forecasts to reduce non-productivity and provide an accurate forecast of staff recoverability.
- Expenses management covering processing and compliance to company policies.
