We are currently recruiting for multiple Technical Product Owners at nPower Business Solutions. In this role you will be responsible for IT products and applications, contributing to the development of a best-in-market digital customer and colleague experience. These are hybrid opportunities based out of our Solihull office. We are currently undergoing a transition and actively seeking individuals who can support us during this period. These leadership positions will play a crucial role in shaping our new operating model, which is focused on adopting a product-oriented approach.
nPower Business Solutions (nBS) is the E.ON Industrial and Commercial (I&C) area of EON and a market leader in the energy retail sector. I&C is a £7 billion revenue business serving c30,000 customers and approximately 250,000 meter points with a view to becoming the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap in collaboration with business managers.
- Manage the full product lifecycle from idea to implementation ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Ensure incidents, maintenance, technical debt and root cause investigations are prioritised alongside new features.
- Prioritise and refine product backlogs to deliver measurable customer value.
- Stay updated on technology trends and emerging technologies.
- Build relationships with business stakeholders and 3rd party vendors to optimize delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for operational success.
What we need from you:
- Experience in Agile and/or waterfall environments delivering customer-led outcomes.
- Strong understanding of backlog prioritisation and agile software development.
- Aware of technology trends and interested in emerging technologies.
- Experience working with third-party IT suppliers.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
- Financial and commercial awareness.
- Ability to identify and solve complex problems effectively.
- Experience in requirements analysis, process modeling, and business case production.
- Ability to translate technical details into business language.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Retail, Financial Services, or Energy sectors.
- Knowledge of Junifer (Gentrack Energy Customer Management Platform).
- Experience in DevOps environment with CI/CD approach.
- Experience managing customer facing products e.g. Digital / Customer Contact.
