IPG-X is looking for a new social media account executive to join the well-established, dynamic social team within the agency. The agency runs several automotive social global channels. The social media account executive (SME) will come in to support the Social Media Manager and Account Director. This is a hybrid role that is client services (managing the client relationship) and hands-on from a social media management perspective.
The SME will be responsible for creative ideation, scheduling content, community management, writing copy and briefing designers. The SME would be expected to help with calendar and content planning, ideation, shoot attendance, client-facing statuses, and account admin. The ideal candidate will be passionate about social media, skilled in content creation, and experienced in spotting online and cultural trends applying them to content calendars to drive brand awareness and engagement.
What does the day-to-day look like?
- Implement and manage social media strategies for multiple clients.
- Create, curate, and schedule engaging content (including images, videos, and copy) across various platforms.
- Monitor social media trends, tools, and best practices to optimise performance.
- Engage with audiences, responding to comments, messages, and queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with designers, photographers, and content creators to develop high-quality assets.
- Identify and build relationships with influencers to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Support with influencer collaborations, ensuring effective communication and alignment with brand goals.
- Analyse social media performance using platform analytics tools and provide insights to improve ongoing engagement and reach.
- Prepare regular reports on social media activity, campaign performance, and key learnings.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging platforms, and algorithm changes to ensure best practices are implemented.

Minimum requirements of the role:
- Experience within advertising and marketing industry, basic knowledge of paid social media advertising is a plus.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Creativity and the ability to think outside the box to create engaging content.
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
Must be able to commute into the central London office 3 days a week, Tuesday – Thursday (and WFH 2 days a week).
