Our client is an established, global asset manager who provides investment solutions across Private Markets and Public Investments. A new role has arisen for a private/alternative funds lawyer (ideally with a good understanding of, or experience from working in the wealth management arena) to join a thriving area of their business. With an established and highly profitable institutional client base, this business has, more recently, launched products targeted at the HNWI market.
The successful candidate will work across both areas of this business, but take a leading role in the latter, on open and closed-ended funds, covering renewable energy, infrastructure, and private equity funds. More specifically, the lawyer will:
- Be integral to the structuring of fund vehicles (including AIFs, Part II UCIs, and RAIFs);
- Launch funds in jurisdictions like Luxembourg and the US;
- Draft and amend term sheets, PPMs, and institutional fund documents (e.g. side letters and LPAs);
- Negotiate distribution agreements with institutional and HNWI clients;
- Take a key role in the implementation of regulatory projects.
This team welcomes applications from candidates with a background in private practice or a relevant investment management organization. Aside from the content of the role, the most attractive facet of this opportunity is, arguably, the business it supports. There is focus from senior management on developing this area of the business, and it is in sustained growth mode. This, in turn, will drive the trajectory of the successful individual, so applicants should be ambitious and tenacious, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving organization.
Our client will remunerate competitively on base and bonus, whilst also offering a healthy and predictable work-life balance, and a hybrid office/home working policy.
