One of our clients is seeking an Atlassin Engineer for an initial 12-month contract, and the position will be hybrid. This role will also require Active SC Clearance.
The client is looking for an experienced Atlassin Engineer to lead, design and perform a migration, in addition to providing ongoing business-driven enhancement and administration of Jira and Confluence. The client needs someone who has a deep understanding of Jira and Confluence administration and how this can be safely applied in a complex environment that covers software & IaaS development, product support and user-centric design.
Key areas of enhancement are:
- New, bespoke Jira projects to support the business needs of teams within Working Age Services
- Integration with Service Now to enable a strategic incident management approach
- Performance tuning
We are looking for expert-level knowledge and deep experience in:
- Jira and Confluence
- Atlassian plugins (including writing groovy for script runner)
- Safely migrating Jira and Confluence projects/spaces and users to a new installation
- Co-designing effective Jira workflows/schemes with delivery leaders
- Designing and running an administration function fit for regular requests for new users, new spaces, customised Jira workflows/schemes for projects etc.
- Reviewing and improving security groups and roles to improve ease of management
- Ensuring effective communication between stakeholders for the design and transition to the single installation
- Performing upgrades with communication to affected end users
- Optimising and improving Jira/Confluence performance
- Infrastructure experience
It would also be very useful (but not essential) if you have previously worked in an agile environment and have experience of creating and managing infrastructure solutions in AWS.
