WHAT TO EXPECT
This role supports the delivery of the Organisation Effectiveness and Design agenda for JLR, ensuring standards and principles are adhered to with a focus on enabling an effective and efficient organisation design. Operating within a complex and rapidly changing environment, the role aims to define accountabilities, decision making, and structure as a key part of any operating model activity.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- OD Consulting and Diagnostic Analysis: Share methods and models, applying them to various contexts while understanding their advantages and disadvantages. Conduct and document 'As is' diagnostics to inform design requirements and principles.
- Create and Implement Plans: Develop and execute organisation design plans, including the roadmap and people transition plan in line with the 'To be' design. Ensure design work adheres to OD standards and principles.
- Impact and Gap Analysis: Evaluate the impact of new business processes on team structures, job/role design, roles and responsibilities, skills and behaviours, and ways of working. Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments to inform actions and activities for implementing the new organisation design and broader operating model considerations.
- Operating Model Integration and Project Management: Understand the impact on the wider operating model to ensure successful embedding of the organisation design. Manage assigned initiatives using project management techniques to ensure delivery outcomes and work with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of OD components and business change management.
- Industry Knowledge and Data-Driven Decision Making: Apply industry knowledge, organisation knowledge, and best practices when working with internal and external stakeholders and customers. Support colleagues in implementing, using, and compiling data to promote evidence-based decision making and fully cascade project outcomes to ensure actionable insights are delivered.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Project Management and Workshop Facilitation: Manage projects and coordinate the facilitation of workshops to ensure effective planning and execution.
- Organisational Design and Diagnostics: Apply expertise in organisational design for large, complex organisations, conducting diagnostics, analytics, and benchmarking to identify structural weaknesses and generate improvement ideas.
- Commercial Awareness and Future-State Articulation: Demonstrate commercial awareness and the ability to derive an articulated future-state and associated business benefits from a sponsor's initial concept.
- Process and People Improvement: Identify areas for strengthening processes, skills, people decisions, values, reward systems, and leadership styles to support the chosen organisation structure. Develop target operating models aligned with strategic requirements.
- Leadership and Change Management: Lead change initiatives and work at Board and Senior Management levels to drive organisational transformation.
