Holmfirth Choral Society is a non-auditioned choir of around 60 members, founded in 1944. We are looking for a talented musician to lead us into the next phase of our music making. We meet weekly for 90 minutes of enjoyable yet focused singing practice. With a love for the traditional choral repertoire, we perform three major concerts each year along with a lighter event in the summer.
We are seeking someone who can bring energy, positivity and encouragement to our rehearsals. The ideal candidate will work on a self-employed basis and foster a supportive atmosphere where our members can have fun whilst working hard to produce beautiful music.
Responsibilities:- Lead weekly rehearsals and concerts on Thursday evenings for 1.5 hours (approx 36 per annum, negotiable).
- Conduct 4 concerts a year.
- Foster a supportive atmosphere for choir members.
- Fee: £3000 p.a. (i.e., £75 per rehearsal/concerts each year).
- Initial one-year term, then a 3-year renewable period.
