We are currently recruiting for an experienced PIP2 Accredited Investigator to work as an Investigations Supervisor on a full-time, long-term contract with a UK Police Force. The role is based in Worthing, Surrey, and is paying 21.25p per hour (PAYE).
Job profile: In this role you will be supervising the outside enquiry team on Operation Bramber. You will also assist the Office Manager with the day-to-day running of the investigation, including Action Management on the HOLMES database as and when required.
Experience: You should be an accredited PIP Level 2 Detective. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must be a team player with a professional approach and an appreciation of the importance of the work undertaken. You should have a high degree of resilience. You must be prepared to amend your working hours depending on operational requirements. Proven ability to analyse problems, make sound operational decisions and have a high level of persistence and self-motivation to see an investigation through to conclusion. Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence and ability to negotiate and influence others through verbal and written communication. You will work across both forces on occasion as the expectation is that resources are deployed where the demand dictates. You must have a good working knowledge of NICHE, and the ability to train in the use of HOLMES. You must have experience of complex case management through to Crown Court trials. You should have the ability to interpret information quickly and effectively in order to select the right course of action.
